Firms often have the same or similar technology yet the degree of return on investment differs widely from firm to firm. In the main, this is down to the quality and ability of the people it employs to manage that technology. That quality and ability is driven by many factors be that experience, training and learning, mentoring levels, processes and governance, management ability and indeed the abilities of the individuals. Often firms fail to use external assistance and so fail to bring in wider experience.

Lights-On has experience of managing IT departments from a team of 7 people in one office to teams of 200+ people across the world and in firms ranging from small law firms to global international FTSE 100s. THis experience spans over 30 years and so we have the experience to know how it can be done better and what best practice looks like.

Often, executives and senior management outside of IT do not know how to develop their IT Managers into the IT Directors the firm now needs them to be. This can be  due to not understanding the technical elements of the job or, simply, not having the time or skills. Conversely, IT managers may not know how to become the IT Director without help. Lights-On can provide the help and mentoring to develop the individual and to provide either visable or invisible support to allow them to grow into the role now required by the firm.
