Definition: the state of keeping or being kept secret or private.
Confidentiality is a given but we go out of our way to keep our client information confidential, not only in securing data, documents and emails but in taking care when discussing clients in public places such as trains, coffee houses and airports. We feel we hear far too much on trains about other people's businesses and we want our client's business kept between Lights-On and the client!
Such is our drive to keep client information and the work we do for clients confidential that we now, as second nature, use “codes” for client names and projects when in public places if discussing work. This led to one IT Director branding us as “secret squirrels” after him trying to listen in on our conversation on a train.
