Lights-On Consulting Achieves Carbon Negative Status for the Sixth Consecutive Year

At Lights-On Consulting, travel, high-definition Teams meetings and AI queries are an essential part of what we do. Our consultants spend time on-site with clients – building relationships, leading projects, and delivering the kind of hands-on IT leadership that simply can’t always be done remotely.

But we’re also conscious that what we do has an impact. That’s why we go beyond offsetting.

For the sixth consecutive year, Lights-On Consulting is proudly carbon negative – meaning we offset more carbon than we produce, ensuring our work contributes positively to the planet.

Managing Director, Stephen Brown said: “Sustainability goes far beyond a box-ticking exercise for us – it’s part of how we do business. Our work often takes us across the country, but we’ve always believed that progress shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. Being carbon negative for the sixth-year running reflects our commitment to doing the right thing and our promise to do business responsibly and sustainably, in a way that supports future generations.”

Between 1 October 2024 and 30 September 2025, our operations produced 34.3 tonnes of carbon. Through verified offsetting initiatives, we’ve more than balanced this output, maintaining our carbon negative position once again. Our full results can be viewed on the CADI database.

This achievement forms part of our wider commitment to integrity and responsibility – values that underpin every project we deliver. We’re committed not just to making a difference to our clients, but to the world we all share.

A special thank you goes to Peter Owen, whose leadership continues to ensure we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. As the topic of sustainability becomes increasingly important for our clients and partners, we’re proud to set an example for how professional services firms can operate with both purpose and accountability.
